Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner it seems appropriate to think about how we can give some extra love to our furry companions. In our busy lives it is so easy to just have our pets in the background while they follow us around the house and love us unconditionally. As much as pets are a member of our families and we love them dearly, it is just so easy to skip a walk, too tired to play ball, don't have time to brush them, play games with your kitty, and so many more activities.
Regardless how much time we have for them they look up at us with those adorable longing eyes that are just so hard to resist. This Valentine's Day let's give our pets a little extra TLC. I know how much my dog enjoys a walk, and when I make time to do it regardless how busy or tired I am, we are both thankful for it in the end. Maybe do a quick training session teaching your dog a new trick or brushing up on some of the old obedience cues, your dog will thank you for the mental stimulation. Spend a few extra minutes playing with the feather that your cat loves to chase around or of course the laser pointer. Perhaps it could be an edible treat, such as a piece of steak, chicken, fish, chew toy, these are always a nice surprise for your pet.
The reward on spending time with our pets is so tremendous that it puts a sparkle on the day when you know you have them to come home to.

remains unawakened."
